Imagine all the people living life in PEACE...

This year the whole Jiménez de Córdoba School will celebrate THE PEACE DAY with the emblematic  English song IMAGINE by JOHN LENNON.

We have worked the song in several lessons, from Infant Education to 6th grade of primary.

First of all, we have done the activity of "fill in the gaps" while Students listen to the song.

Later, we have checked the words and we have learnt the "real meaning" of the song.

After that, we have found out about John Lennon and his life (biography) as well as the English culture.

Finally, we have watched videos and karaokes related to the song in order to sing as a CHORAL ENSEMBLE. This performance has been possible thanks to Mr.Jesús, the other English teacher.

After that, our School has gone to "La Plaza Vieja" to celebrate The Peace Day with the rest of Schools and High Schools of Villarrobledo. Each Student carries a kilo of food for different NGOs such as Cáritas and Cruz Roja.

In "La Plaza Vieja" we sing the song again, we read famous sentences about the PEACE and pupils drink a hot chocolate to end the ceremony.
